The Rath Yatra Of Lord Jagannath Has Been Taking Place In The City Of Bhavnagar For The Last 40 Years.For the last 40 years, the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath ji has been taking place in the city of Bhavnagar. When did the 3 km long Rath Yatra start from the small route which today takes a 17 km route. Harubhai Gondalia has witnessed and participated in its management for 40 years. Harubhai Gondalia told ETV BHARAT who is Harubhai Gondlia who has been in full charge of the Rath Yatra since 1986 and the complete saga of the Rath Yatra.

Lord Krishna's Divine Pastimes In Vrindavan And His Chariot Ride During The Mahabharata Era Are Believed To Have Influenced The Tradition Of The Rathyatra.

According To Mythology, Once The Sea (bay Of Bengal) Has Damaged Thrice To Temple Of Lord Jagannath, Therefore He Appointed Hanuman To Protect The Puri And Temple From The Sea.
